TransArt Collection
Original art sold on consignment, rooted in Turkey. Co-founder, responsible for the platform, payments and operations: Next.js storefront, self-hosted Postgres, Turkish card and bank payment rails, e-invoicing, a shipping aggregator and 3D viewing of every work, plus the tax and compliance work that goes with selling physical goods across a border.
Why it exists
An artist in Turkey selling to a buyer outside it runs into the same wall every time: the work is ready and the rails are not. Cards, invoicing and shipping all quietly assume both ends of the sale are in the same country.
How it is built
A Next.js storefront over self-hosted Postgres with Prisma, carrying Turkish card and bank payment rails, e-invoicing, and a shipping aggregator so one order can leave the country without three separate accounts. The tax and compliance work that comes with moving physical goods across a border is part of the platform rather than something bolted on beside it. Sold on consignment, so the money and the artwork move on different clocks and the system has to track both. Every work can be viewed in 3D or on your own wall, and a virtual gallery hangs the collection in rooms.
